The Westmoreland Museum of American Art is set to unveil a unique art maze experience on June 13. The project, featuring murals by artists Darryl Audia, Jr., Dan Florent, V Jennings, Bakula Nayak, and Stacey Pydynkowski, was initiated through a public call for art proposals. Each mural draws inspiration from artworks currently displayed at the museum. Visitors are encouraged to engage with the exhibits through a scavenger hunt.

Silvia Filippini-Fantoni, Richard M. Scaife Director/CEO of the museum, expressed enthusiasm about the new exhibit: “We are excited to share this fun Art Maze experience with visitors of all ages and to showcase artwork by these five talented artists.” She added that they hope the community will visit multiple times over the summer for both the maze and planned special events.

Three events will feature free admission to the art maze: Pride Prom on June 21, A-MAZE-ING Summer Saturday on July 12, and Sunday Fun Day: Animal Kingdom on August 10. For more information about these events and others like SummerSounds Happy Hours held every Friday from June through August, individuals can visit the museum’s website.

The art maze will be accessible during regular museum hours from June 13 until August 17. Admission is free for members and children aged three or under. Non-member adults pay $10 while non-member children between four and eighteen years old pay $5. Groups of ten or more can gain entry at $5 per person with advance registration required.

New operating hours extend until 7 p.m. on Fridays; otherwise, opening times remain Wednesday through Thursday as well as Saturday to Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., with last entries permitted thirty minutes before closing time.

Advance registration for visiting is recommended but not mandatory; interested parties may register online via the museum’s official site.

Art Bridges supports this initiative alongside contributions from both Hillman Foundation and The Heinz Endowments.
