Rep. Jill Cooper has announced that she will host the Seniors for Safe Driving event on June 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Murrysville Senior Center, located at 3091 Carson Ave., Murrysville.

“It’s an honor to host this event once again to ensure seniors receive the most up-to-date information to keep them and their loved ones safe on the roads,” said Cooper. “Safe driving is a vital part of maintaining independence as we age, and this course helps empower our seniors with the knowledge and confidence they need behind the wheel. I encourage all eligible drivers to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.”

The course focuses on safety and updates to traffic laws and patterns for older Pennsylvanians. It is designed for drivers aged 55 or older, with a fee of $17 payable to Seniors for Safe Driving. Participants who complete the course may qualify for an auto insurance premium discount valid for three years. The instruction is classroom-based, without any exams.

Interested participants are asked to register by calling Seniors for Safe Driving at 1-800-559-4880. For further inquiries, Cooper’s Export district office can be contacted at 724-387-9113.
