The Murrysville Council has approved several measures during its latest meeting, addressing issues related to animal control, budget amendments, zoning changes, and new development projects.

Council members agreed to a two-year contract with Hoffman Kennels for animal control services, covering the period from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027. The council also authorized the advertisement of Ordinance No. 1104-25 concerning the 2026 Salary Ordinance and Ordinance No. 1105-25 regarding the 2026 Tax Ordinance. According to officials, taxes will remain unchanged for the year 2026.

Ordinance No. 1107-25, which deals with municipal fees, was tabled for future discussion.

In other financial matters, Resolution No. 808-25 was passed to amend the operating budget for the current calendar year.

The council moved forward with advertising Ordinance No. 1106-25 to reclassify about three acres on Hills Church Road from public land to medium-density residential zoning.

Several land development and subdivision applications were approved:

– SP-1-25 and S-2-25 Summerhill Phase 2 Subdivision on Goldie Lane received approval as a major development that will divide a single lot into a new residential area with 64 lots.
– S-11-25 Mark Ginley Subdivision allows an eight-acre parcel on Ashbaugh Road to be split into two separate parcels.
– S-12-25 Sampson Subdivision divides a larger parcel on Hoy Farm Court into two parcels of roughly thirty-two and nineteen acres respectively.

Additionally, three resolutions (809-25, 810-25, and 811-25) amended Murrysville’s Act 537 plan in support of new land developments at Drake’s Carwash on Old William Penn Highway, CSE Corporation’s building addition on Corporate Lane, and the Castiglione Plan development on Wiestertown Road.

The council also authorized the advertisement for bids relating to the sale of used municipal vehicles and equipment.

Approved minutes from previous meetings are available under Agendas and Minutes on the municipality’s homepage.

The next scheduled council meeting is set for Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
