On Saturday, May 24, former Hempfield Area High School standout Mikayla Hughes collegiate team wins in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship

On Saturday, May 24, former Hempfield Area High School standout Mikayla Hughes’ current collegiate team the Pace Setters won 2-1 against the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at Jim Frost Stadium at 6:30 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals in the tournament.

The Pace Setters’ next game will take place on Sunday, May 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Jim Frost Stadium.
