80 percent of applicants to Pennsylvania State University-Penn State New Kensington were admitted for fall 2018

At Pennsylvania State University-Penn State New Kensington, 85 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in New Kensington enrolled 585 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 6.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

95 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 4 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (85 percent) and two or more races (5 percent).

The school admitted 80 percent of the 441 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 46 percent enrolled.
