North Huntingdon Township issued the following announcement on April 30.
The North Huntingdon Township Board of Commissioners, at a special meeting on April 29, 2020, approved a resolution that extends the “Discount Rate” for municipal real estate taxes to August 31, 2020. The Board of Commissioners also waived any interest and penalties on municipal real estate taxes if paid in full by December 31, 2020. This action does not waive any payment of real estate taxes only changes the referenced deadlines.
Please take note that this action only applies to North Huntingdon Township (local) real estate tax and no other North Huntingdon Township or other taxing jurisdiction taxes.
This action was made possible by the passage of Act 15 of 2020 by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania signed onto law on April 20, 2020.
