At the May 14th meeting, the Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution concerning the reopening of businesses in North Huntingdon Township during the yellow phase. The resolution states that the Township will not cite or pursue legal action against any township business which reopens as long as they comply to the mandates set forth in the resolution to include the use of personal protective equipment, social distancing, and proper disinfecting. It also states that any allegations of a business’ failure to comply will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
The Board of Commissioners also signed and unanimously approved a letter to send to Governor Wolf at yesterday’s meeting (5/20) requesting the establishment of criteria for moving counties into the green phase and eventually to the all-open phase.
