North Huntingdon Township issued the following announcement on May 26.
Township playgrounds open today, Tues. May 26. Following the Board’s decision to re-open play structures at its’ monthly meeting, park staff is working throughout the day to re-install swings, post warning/notification signage, check equipment, clean equipment and tend to safety surfaces in accordance with playground maintenance guidelines. This practice will be performed weekly until further notice and social distancing is recommended.
Note: As of this past weekend, The Norwin School District has also begun to re-open public recreational facilities. Tennis courts and playgrounds are included.
