In Westmoreland County 552 inmates were incarcerated in the third quarter of 2022, a 0.5 percent increase over the quarter before, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Ryleik Amitre Arbuckle, a 18-year-old, was the youngest inmate in Westmoreland County in the third quarter of 2022.

Ernest Paul Gallegos and Jacob Earl Ament were the oldest at 78-years-old.

Incarceration rates in Pennsylvania have increased dramatically, imprisoning more than seven times the number of people in 2019 than in 1970.
