Chief Deputy Whip Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) and U.S. Representative Jen Kiggans (R-VA) have criticized the U.S. Navy after a sign displaying quotes from far-left and antisemitic activists was shown at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Galley in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The representatives demanded the removal of the sign and called for further actions to address the issue.

The sign featured quotes from individuals identified as Marxists and advocates of socialist uprisings, who have previously expressed support for genocide against Jews, endorsed the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel, and pushed for prison abolition.

In their letter, Reschenthaler and Kiggans stated: “As Navy veterans, we believe this poster will undoubtedly further politicize our nation’s military, hurt recruitment and retention efforts, and legitimize activists who have spread antisemitism against Jewish Americans. We respectfully request an immediate response to this letter and an end of this administration’s efforts to insert far-left politics into our nation’s military.”

Both Reschenthaler and Kiggans are veterans of the U.S. Navy. Reschenthaler served as a Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) officer with deployment experience in Iraq. Kiggans served as a helicopter pilot with two deployments to the Persian Gulf.
