HARRISBURG - Representative Leslie Rossi has announced a $1 million grant for the Ligonier Valley School District to improve its high school's HVAC system. The funding, sourced from the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Public School Facility Improvement Grant program, aims to enhance air quality and safety standards within the school.

“Every student deserves to learn in a space where their health and safety are prioritized,” said Rossi. “This investment in Ligonier Valley School District will ensure the HVAC system meets modern standards for air quality and safety. I’m proud to have secured this funding to support the long-term well-being of our children and educators.”

The project is set to address critical issues such as humidity regulation, mold prevention, and fire hazard reduction. Additionally, it will introduce energy-efficient units that recover energy from exhaust air to condition incoming fresh air.

The Public School Facility Improvement Grant program is designed to provide necessary funds for essential upgrades in public schools, ensuring they meet modern educational demands.
