Rep. Leslie Rossi of Westmoreland has announced the allocation of $3.25 million in state funding for improvement projects within the 59th Legislative District. This funding is provided through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), which focuses on boosting regional economic, cultural, civic, and recreational activities.
"I am thrilled to announce this significant investment in our community," stated Rossi. "These projects will not only improve local infrastructure but will also enhance the quality of life for residents in the 59th District. I look forward to seeing these initiatives come to fruition and their positive impact on our community."
The funds have been earmarked for several key projects:
- Indiana Regional Medical Center will receive $1.25 million to purchase and convert a building in Ligonier into a community medical center, thereby expanding healthcare access for local residents.
- The Arnold and Winnie Palmer Foundation is set to receive $1 million for relocating and reconstructing Arnold Palmer’s office and worship facilities at Latrobe Country Club's main grounds. This project includes restoring "Winnie’s Barn" to meet current building codes.
- Saint Vincent College has been allocated $1 million for renovating a historic building into a Library Annex, which aims to preserve architectural integrity while enhancing educational resources.
The RACP is managed by the Office of the Budget and supports design, acquisition, and construction efforts that promote regional development.
