Rep. Leslie Rossi has announced that the Latrobe-Unity Youngstown Parks and Recreation Commission will be receiving a $240,600 grant. This grant, provided through the Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2), is earmarked for the rehabilitation of the Rogers McFeely Memorial Pool in Latrobe Borough.

Rossi emphasized the positive impact of this funding, stating, “This grant is a key step in improving the quality of life for families in Latrobe and surrounding communities. The renovation of the Rogers McFeely Memorial Pool will provide a safe, accessible space for recreation and help meet the needs of our growing community. By adding a splash pad and improving the pool’s infrastructure, we are creating a welcoming environment for people of all ages to enjoy, especially during the summer months.”

The rehabilitation plans include the construction of a new splash pad, the installation of a modern filtration and recirculation system, improvements in ADA accessibility, landscaping enhancements, and the installation of a project sign to highlight the grant's contribution.

The C2P2 program, run by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, provides support to local governments and organizations for various park, recreation, conservation, and greenways projects.
