Greater Latrobe School District issued the following announcement on April 9.
Dear GLSD Families and Staff,
This morning the Governor and the Pennsylvania Department of Education announced that all
schools in the Commonwealth will be closed through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school
year. As a school district, we understand the disappointment in receiving this news, but need to
focus on the continuity of education for our students and remain positive and hopeful that this
pandemic will make all of us more resilient.
I will continue to update you with information as it is received and as decisions are made
regarding the school calendar. We will continue to plan our senior celebrations and look forward
to these memorable events!
I wish you all a wonderful and relaxing spring break. Remember, we are all in this together and
will persevere through this difficult time.
