Hearing on senior issues to be hosted by Rep. Jill Cooper

State Rep. Jill N. Cooper | Pennsylvania 55th Legislative District

Rep. Jill Cooper of Westmoreland will host a hearing with the House Republican Policy Committee on October 25 to address issues concerning seniors. The topics include guardianship, safety matters such as avoiding scams targeting seniors, and advocating for policies that enhance their well-being, autonomy, and dignity.

The event will feature Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail from Beaver/Washington, committee members, and several testifiers. Among those presenting are Hon. Harry Smail, judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Westmoreland County; Nicole Ziccarelli, district attorney of Westmoreland County; John R. Dickson, President and CEO of Redstone Highlands Communities; and Dr. Pamela Toto from the University of Pittsburgh.

The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Redstone Highlands Community Center's Murrysville Campus located at 4951 Cline Hollow Road in Murrysville. It will be streamed online at PAGOPPolicy.com and PAHouseGOP.com if no technical difficulties arise.
