State Representative Eric Davanzo of Westmoreland County has issued a statement criticizing U.S. Senator Bob Casey and other officials for their attempts to count ballots he claims were illegally submitted in the recent Senate election. According to Davanzo, these actions undermine the integrity of the election process.

Davanzo pointed out that four Democratic county commissioners are allegedly ignoring a Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision which reaffirmed that mail-in ballots must be properly dated and cast by registered voters. He accuses Democrats of allowing fraudulent votes to be counted across the state, calling this both shameful and disingenuous.

The statement criticizes Senator Casey's refusal to concede his race, suggesting it disregards legal precedents and disrespects voters who followed election guidelines. Davanzo also expressed concern about potential costs associated with a recount due to what he describes as "election denialism" from Senator Casey.

Davanzo urged Governor Josh Shapiro to intervene and ensure compliance with state law. He called on Shapiro to address those acting in bad faith and uphold court decisions regarding election processes.
