It's that time of year again...Can you smell the fish fries in the air???

We have a couple of great ones right here in Lower Burrell!  For a list of fish fries in our area, see the attached article.

Lower Burrell No. 1. Fire Department, 915 New York Ave., Kinloch, dine in, takeout or delivery, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday and Fridays through Good Friday. Menu: Lenten platter with cod, a crab cake, four shrimp and baked fish, $14; breaded cod sandwich only, $8; baked fish dinner, $12; 6 butterfly shrimp dinner, $12; chicken strips, crab cakes, white pizza, grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup, pierogi, shrimp scampi, macaroni and cheese wedges, coleslaw, applesauce, cheddar or hot cheese balls, haluski and chicken strips. Dinners include choice of fries, macaroni and cheese, vegetable medley or haluski, and applesauce or coleslaw. Delivery available for minimum $10 order. Request when ordering. Credit cards accepted for minimum $10 order. Orders: 724-339-7537 or 724-212-3120.

American Legion, 1100 Wildlife Lodge Road, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday with a limited menu; and Fridays through Good Friday. Menu: battered fish on a dish combo platter, $12; fish sandwich combo, $14; jumbo shrimp basket combo, $14; fisherman’s platter with battered fish, three jumbo shrimp, fries, coleslaw and four hush puppies, $16. Sides: pierogi, fries, coleslaw, shrimp and hush puppies. Takeout: $1 for orders $20 and under; $2, over $20. Orders: 724-339-9417.
